The Boot World — Privacy Policy (Pilot Version)
Last Updated: November 2025
- Introduction
Welcome to The Boot World (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Boot World is a pilot platform that connects individuals who need help (“Listers”) with those looking to earn income (“Seekers”) for small, local jobs and community-based tasks.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information during our pilot phase.
By submitting your information through our website, Google Forms, or email, you agree to the terms outlined here.
- Information We Collect
During the pilot, we collect only the information necessary to facilitate manual matching between users. This may include:
Personal Information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Postal code or neighborhood
- Language preference
Task or Work Information:
- Job description or category (e.g., cleaning, tutoring, errands)

We use the information you provide solely to operate and improve The Boot World pilot, including:
- Manually matching Listers and Seekers within nearby areas.
- Communicating match confirmations and scheduling details.

Your data will never be sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

All pilot data is securely stored within Google Workspace (Forms, Sheets, Gmail) under password-protected accounts managed by The Boot World.
Only authorized members of The Boot World’s pilot team and trusted development partner Appwapp have limited access for operational purposes.
We may share minimal, relevant information between matched users — such as first name, neighborhood, and contact details — only after both parties have agreed to the match.
- Data Retention
Your data will be retained only for the duration of the pilot project and deleted or anonymized within 6 months of pilot completion, unless required by law or ongoing consent for participation is given.
You may request deletion or modification of your data at any time by emailing:

- Access and review your information.
- Request corrections or deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent for participation in the pilot at any time.

- Restricted administrative access.
- Secure transmission of emails and links.
- Manual vetting of all pilot participants.
While no system is completely immune to risk, we are committed to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and security.
- Third-Party Services
During the pilot, we may use secure third-party services for:
- Google Forms (data collection)
- Google Sheets (data organization)
- Stripe or similar payment processors (for Seeker match fees)
Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policies, which comply with applicable laws (e.g., Google Privacy Policy, Stripe Privacy Policy).
